Friday, I'm in love.

I know, I know, it's Fifty Lindens Friday and I'm not even talking about it!? What's happening? Well I was just too busy shopping for a coat. And finding one that won't mess with your boobs, hips, butt, AO and that also looks good is something very rare. Fortunately, there is Aoharu and once again, the new Mini Lenght Trench Coat reaches all my expectations. And the textures / colors are gorgeous! I got myself the Ivory (which is closer to camel, in my opinion) one and I had to stop myself from getting the fatpack.

I very rarely purchase fatpacks because I'm trying to convince myself I don't need the same item in 8 or 12 colors. The amount of money I saved this past 2 years by doing so is simply astonishing... but this coat almost got me.

Instead, I also spoiled myself with the Feminine Fut Tippet Coat in brown, also from Aoharu.

Today will be a day to remember for Div - my boyfriend - and I.

Long story short, we met in Second Life. He is american and I'm (french!) canadian. All the odds were against us but we managed to turn our virtual dream into something real. It was hard, and it took some times, but we made it! Div lives with me in Montréal since 3 months now, but we need to legally allow him to stay for good.

So today is the first step of his immigration : our civil union. Nothing big, just us and our two witnesses, and some home made cupcakes. Following today, we'll fill all papers and stuff required for him to get his permanent citizenship.

Only, I thought it would be fun to commemorate this even in SL, where we met over 3 years ago!

Since Div doesn't log in Second Life anymore, I decided not to do the traditional picture with the two lovebirds. Instead, waiting for him (forever?) in a white dress seemed more appropriate. I couldn't resist adding LaGyo's Spring accessories to my outfit. The headpiece is stunning; I didn't retouch the picture at all (except for lighting), these are the original textures. The flowers look so delicate! And the earrings are to die for.

Mon Tissu d'amour.

If I had to shop at only one store for the rest of my SL life, I would choose Mon Tissu without hesitation. I love everything there, and I mostly love the fact that you can easily look put together (yet comfy) just by throwing on any of their stuff randomly. Their products are amazingly well done and you look great without any damn effort. If you don't know about Mon Tissu yet, you're really missing something.

Today I went to check their new (well... about 1 week old) "Sweet Sophisticate" collection and I love the très french vibe to it. You look like you deserve to live in Paris. Ah Paris! Who doesn't want to look as good and put together as these lovely Parisiennes?

I must admit, I almost didn't purchase the dress shown above. Because if there's one thing I hate as much as bodylights, it's skirts with the mini prim between the legs, which moves with the AO and makes you look like you pooped a square of fabric.

So I got this dress thinking the color and pattern were divine and I could always wear it as a shirt with jeans or something. But voilà, the whole skirt is a prim! I went waaaaarrrgblll! in happiness and purchased the 2 other colors (black and tan) as well.

On my side, I couldn't resit this lovely summer dress from The Sea Hole (comes in 4 colors, L$75 each). My only concern is the skirt is non-modif; luckily it fits me perfectly around the waist, but if you're on the curvy or petite side, it's impossible to make it bigger/smaller since it's not scripted as well.

Is it Spring yet?

I don't know if I'm the only one, but my RL influences how I dress in SL a lot. I dress more warmly during winter, and lightly during summer in general. But when I woke up this morning and I opened the curtains on (another) snowstorm, I lost it.

I needed to wear something that would remind me of spring, and luckily, you can find this adorable lavender Neo-Romantic blouse from Fishy Strawberry at The Dressing Room for a ridiculous price. I paired it with G-Field's Flower Pumps "Eve" in Violet Mist for a perfect color match... and felt instantly better!

And to make me feel even more better, Belleza released this spring-ish purple skin just two days ago for group members. If you register now, you can get it in store (gift box for members, at the entrance) along with 3 other skins.

Belleza group have a registration fee of L$250 but believe me, it's worth every penny. I'm entirely against registration fees in general, but Belleza offers at least 1 skin (in every shade) per month, every month, usually from their upcoming collection. So you get to see the new releases before everyone else, and their skins are of the nicest ones in SL (mostly male ones!). Assuming the average price for such nice skin in SL is $L1000, you get $L12,000+ worth of stuff in a single year.

My only comment is regarding the Ruffled Top by Absolution. It's cute, no doubt about it, but the attachment point for the ruffled part being the pec, it looks horrible with an AO on. If you're planning on getting it, remember to reattach it to the shoulder instead ... after trying a few attachment points, chest is the best option.

Along the way, I also got the latest Truth release : Minka. I must admit I didn't really like it on the vendor, but when I tried it I really loved it. It's perfect for a lazy-a-bit-messy hair look during the weekend, and comes with bangs too!

Redgrave Fairy skin : Avie.

Last night, I slightly told you about Redgrave's new release : Avie, from the Fairy collection, available at the Vanity Universe Skin Fair 2011. This new skin comes in one very fair (but gorgeous) color and 16 different make ups, most of them being like an explosion of Skittles all over your face. If you like colors, you'll love every one of them. On my side I tend to wear very minimal / neutral colors, so only 01 and 07 were appealing to me.

After trying the two skins mentioned above several times (what do you mean by picky!?) I ended purchasing the most neutral one : Avie 01.

Without lashes to show the eyes area. Looks like I just woke up. Zzz.

I love everything about the face : freckles, lips, nose for which the texture around the nostrils is very well done. My only concern regarding this skin is... the breasts. The basic skin looks fine but the shadow under the breasts is way too dark / brown when it comes to the two enhancements provided with the skin.

Personally, I don't really mind since I prefer smaller breasts, but if I wanted them fuller, it would bother me.

The skin comes with multiple options :
★ with and without light (white) hairbase
★ light and dark brows
★ 2 lipsticks layers
★ long fairy-ish nails
★ 2 breasts enhancer

At only L$990 per skin including all options mentioned above, or L$2990 for the entire make ups set (sixteen options!)... that's dirty cheap for such good quality. It's also possible to get the shape (L$390) and eyes (L$100) to look exactly like Redgrave's adorable little fairy.

The Vanity Universe Skin Fair, 3rd edition starts tomorrow! Hope you saved some Lindens cuz there is skins to satisfied the most difficult people... myself included! I'm seriously lurking the new Fairy skin by Redgrave... but let's put this on the side for now.

Since I got an invite for Bloggersday, I was planning to go to the Skin Fair for a few hours, take the time to try all demos available and do a huuuuge report... but I forgot about that thing called Real Life and was caught into it all day. Uuuugh. So I teleported in at the last minute tonight and only had a quick overview.

Fortunately for you, plenty of bloggers are already talking about this very interesting event in a much better way than I could ever do. So I'll just go with this: to the few creators it may concern, please stop thinking we all want to look like Angelina Jolie. Play it safe when it comes to drawing the size of lips 'cuz ginormous mouths aren't as sexy as you think they are.

Besides that, I strongly recommend to have a look at the Skin Fair where you'll find very well made skins by amazing creators. All the well known brands such as Redgrave, Laqroki, LeLutka, Curio, Glam Affair, etc. are around, but you'll also discover some new - and gorgeous - faces.

Weather is very unusual where I live since yesterday. We're used to snow and very cold weather during February (it can easily go down to -40¤C (-40¤F) with the winds... AYE!). Instead we're having a very comfortable 5¤C and rain.
