Friday, I'm in love.

I know, I know, it's Fifty Lindens Friday and I'm not even talking about it!? What's happening? Well I was just too busy shopping for a coat. And finding one that won't mess with your boobs, hips, butt, AO and that also looks good is something very rare. Fortunately, there is Aoharu and once again, the new Mini Lenght Trench Coat reaches all my expectations. And the textures / colors are gorgeous! I got myself the Ivory (which is closer to camel, in my opinion) one and I had to stop myself from getting the fatpack.

I very rarely purchase fatpacks because I'm trying to convince myself I don't need the same item in 8 or 12 colors. The amount of money I saved this past 2 years by doing so is simply astonishing... but this coat almost got me.

Instead, I also spoiled myself with the Feminine Fut Tippet Coat in brown, also from Aoharu.

While I was there, I grabbed the Dungaree shirt Special Edition in red. It's only 50$L and every penny goes directly to Japan. Honestly, red is not my color but for such low price and good cause, I had to get it. Available at Aoharu Mainstore only.

Pacific Crisis Fundraiser.

Statique. is extremely honored to be part of the Pacific Crisis Fundraiser which starts this Wednesday, for a full month! Again, I'll let the press release speak for itself :

"An emergency fundraising effort for the victims of the crisis in the Pacific that hit on the 10th/11th of march is being set up.

SL is an international community, with a strong base in Japan specifically. This disaster is worldwide and affects us all, as a community SL has risen up time and time again to help out in times of distress, including very recently.

In september 2010, 11,000 us dollars was raised for the Pakistan flood crisis relief fund (UNICEF) at an SL event. An event organized in four days. This is an example of what our community can do, and we are attempting to prepare for a similar, simple but effective, event."

Pacific Crisis Fundraiser will take place from March 16 - April 10 and everyone is offering at least 1 item at 100% donation (some others at 50%). The place is already packed with all the well known brands and some more (I heard 300 stores registered so far!) to the point they are adding a 2nd row of vendors above the 1st one! It's gonna be ginormous and hopefully we'll raise a lot of Lindens!

You can find Statique. exclusive HOPE necklace, along with 5 other regular products already available in store (50% goes to PCF) straight at the entrance... I was lucky enough to arrive as they were setting the 2nd row of vendors so I'm comfortably installed straight above Peqe and The Secret Store. You have no excuse not to find me!

You will recognize the little bird from the Spring ring on the HOPE necklace... I wanted an exclusive item for the event and thought it would be appropriate to use my little friend and his flower as a symbol of hope for Japan's future.

A sad Fifty Lindens Friday.

A very, very sad Friday. Waking up on the news of the japanese earthquake and footage of the devastating tsunami in Sendai, knowing 300 people are reported dead so far in that city only, is beyond horrible.

Mon Tissu d'amour.

If I had to shop at only one store for the rest of my SL life, I would choose Mon Tissu without hesitation. I love everything there, and I mostly love the fact that you can easily look put together (yet comfy) just by throwing on any of their stuff randomly. Their products are amazingly well done and you look great without any damn effort. If you don't know about Mon Tissu yet, you're really missing something.

Today I went to check their new (well... about 1 week old) "Sweet Sophisticate" collection and I love the très french vibe to it. You look like you deserve to live in Paris. Ah Paris! Who doesn't want to look as good and put together as these lovely Parisiennes?

C'est l'amour.

I must admit, I almost didn't purchase the dress shown above. Because if there's one thing I hate as much as bodylights, it's skirts with the mini prim between the legs, which moves with the AO and makes you look like you pooped a square of fabric.

So I got this dress thinking the color and pattern were divine and I could always wear it as a shirt with jeans or something. But voilà, the whole skirt is a prim! I went waaaaarrrgblll! in happiness and purchased the 2 other colors (black and tan) as well.

Is it Friday yet?

Tonight, I decided to try out one of the new shape I made earlier today, which explains why I don't have my usual look. Meet Ashimu the asian inspired petite shape. Isn't she cute?

I started my Friday quite early by visiting the Fifty Lindens Friday (FLF) landmarks before midnight SLT... and I've been lucky since only Theosophy and Miel didn't have their vendor up (indeed, I'm going back tomorrow!).

I must say I've been quite disappointed with last week's FLF but there are plenty of nice goodies this week to make up for it, including this adorable necklace from DECO.

Fashionista at work.

I am very quiet since 48 hours cuz I'm working my arse off on my store : Statique. I spent too much time shopping this past few weeks didn't really have the time to finalize what I started two weeks ago, so I'm working hard on packaging all the poses & shapes I made recently.

Meanwhile, my main store in-world is remodeling so most of my products aren't available for now. It's easier to see what's already available by looking at my Marketplace Store.

Heaven, I'm in Heaven...

Sometimes, I really wish I could personally hug each and every creator of Second Life who offer us very well done items at low price. And I would hug a bit harder those who allow us to modify their creation.

Thanks to them, people who lack some major building skills (like me!) can still achieve something decent. I'm building myself a little store and there is no way I could have ended with such a cute one at such an affordable price without what I purchased today at Awesome Blossom, Art Dummy, Little Boxes, What Next and Modest House through this week's Project Themeory, Super Bargain Saturday and Lazy Sunday.
