I would say good afternoon, but it has been another terribly damp day. I spent a good while catching up with all the beautiful happenings over at Flickr, my account is somewhat neglected while my head spins here and there with possibilities at all the things I would like to achieve with my time. For now these are my favourites.

Colour cards and paint pots

When we first decorated out apartment I used Farrow and Ball paint in every room. I love the natural colours and delicate chalky finish of their paints. We were quite bold with choices of dark greys to mimic our English skies. A while ago I repainted the two biggest rooms white, Now reading this lovely book-Farrow & Ball Living with Colour by Ros Byam Shaw- I am seriously wondering where I can add some striking colours again. My top six colours for adding a drama are Blazer, India Yellow, and Minster Green, Drawing room blue, Pelt, and Babouche.

And if you want to paper a wall or two, these four wallpapers are definite keepers Wisteria, Orangrie, Peony, and St Antoine.

I Spent my first sleepy moments online this morning swooning over the runway pictures from the Spring 2011 Elie Saab collection. Hence the coral outburst here today.

A hearty cup of spiced chicken and bean soup was the helping hand I needed to start an Autumn pom pom garland and embroidering some new cushions last week.

Haunting blues

Thursday. A quick walk to town for white cotton thread to finish some garlands that have been patiently waiting on my work table, turned into the unexpected treat of coffee with a friend. The sun even showed up for the afternoon.

I came home to find an eagerly awaited parcel, then sat down with a cool drink, flicked through the new Toast catalogue and ate my lunch. The cover is beautiful haunting blues and mauves, all the colours of my dried Hydrangeas. Things are looking up.

Sweetly

How sweetly pink and turquoise go together, like best friends from the colour wheel. Threaded with subtle candle light, this inspiration shoot from Tara of Dixie Pixel for Southern Weddings really made my morning.

Hoardings

As you will know I am a great lover of Style.com. All those wonderful fashion collections under one roof. I trawl through images full of colour and dream fabrics, and I save them for future posts. These however got filed without labels or words and I am not 100% on all the designers. So I have gathered them all together for this post. Some coral a little sparkle, some that swish and others that float, nipped in waists, delicate layering. Some subtle and a lot of brights. All my favourite things.

It is another perfect day out but I need to list my life on Ebay to make some much needed space for when we (hopefully) eventually put our house on the market later this year. I will try to make a break and retreat out in to the sunshine for an iced coffee later, I wonder who I can find to join me?

Snake charmers, crowded boxes of tiny yellow chicks, brass tray topped tables, a refreshing burst of cool summer rain, shimmering sequinned blankets, sultry heat, barbeque smoke, sweet pastries glistening with honey, iced milk with orange blossom, blue walls and green cacti, crisp white sheets, rustling palms, who knew we would find so much to fall in love with all inside the city of faded red walls.

Every time I want to go back I will unwrap the block of Amber Dean bought me in his favourite of the spice shops and breath in the warm sweet spiced scent, and of course I can't wait to brew up some fresh mint tea in the antique silver tea pot that we picked up.

Thanks for taking the trip with me and if you haven't been already, I hope you all one day get the chance to visit all the wonderful people and colours in the red city.
