Cabbages and Roses Giveaway

Hi there, today to celebrate the launch of Cabbages and roses newest ranges Hobury and Gilbert I am one of four blogs hosting an amazing giveaway. Along with Maria, Tracey and Melaine I will be giving away a metre of each of the fabrics shown here. Be sure to go and check out the alternative designs that they are giving away for four times the chance of winning.

Being a long time devotee of Cabbages and Roses and their dreamy, vintage aesthetic, I really am passionate about these fabrics that are screen and roller printed in the UK and designed in London. All in delicate colours that suit all seasons and will effortlessly add a vintage layer to your interior. Living on the East Sussex coast the Ships passing fabric would look so perfect as cushions in our house. I can't wait to make some. I am also counting the days until I can visit their new Avery Row store too. My husband will have to drag me out by my ears.

So, I will be giving one lucky winner a metre of each fabric swatch pictured here from the beautiful Gilbert Range, 'Ships passing' 'Metro' and 'Scoopy'. To enter all you need to do is leave a comment here telling me what you would make with the fabric if you were to win. The winners will be announced on Monday the 29th of November. If you are the lucky winner I would love to see what you create at a later date.

You can also get an extra entry if you post or tweet about the giveaway and comment back with a link to the post here. Good luck and don't forget the other prints available at Dreamy Whites, French Larkspur and My Sweet Savannah.

Have a happy Thursday, I hope the sun is shining wherever you are today.

Beret wearing lovers

New Winter collection from Cabbages and Roses and this dress rocks my world, and the tiny beret wearing peanut lovers necklace is super sweet too.

Bathed in flowers

Was just searching for the perfect maxi dress to take on my holiday when I took a wrong but good turn and found the spring collection from Cabbages and Roses. I stayed too long and fell in love, I may have to buy the Cotton Delilah Tunic. I think it would look great over a pair of white churidar from toast. Perfect for lounging on floral cushions and eiderdowns on a sun drenched Summer lawn.

Turning a cabbage into a rose

Friday morning and I'm falling in love with Cabbages and Roses all over again. After seeing their stand at a trade show a few weeks ago I can't get the faded beauty of the fabrics out of my head. I want to whitewash all my walls and hang the gauzy cottons at my windows. I must be suffering from spring fever! The Cabbages and Roses online boutique sells all these beautiful fabrics by the meter and a collection of homeware too. I think this antique rose on a duck egg blue background would make fabulous cushions, might compliment my charcoal sofa rather well. Poor Dean, whenever he arrives home from a trip he never knows what he will find changed! I will have to make a trip to their store the next time I'm shopping in the big smoke. I dream of decorating all day long. Trying to point my life in the right direction this year. Is this what I want to do with all my time? I'm having an epiphany being thirty an'all, its not a new wish for me but the feeling is so strong now its all I can think about. I would love to buy a five bedroom house and decorate every room from scratch so if anyone has a five bedder they can spare I'm ready to redesign it! Living in a small town and a recession in full swing is dampening my spirits a little. And where does one start?! So if you find a thirty year old woman cowering and looking bemused behind a bolt of Raspberry Natural Hatley it's probably me!
PS they also have a clothing line : )
