Cabbages and Roses Giveaway

Hi there, today to celebrate the launch of Cabbages and roses newest ranges Hobury and Gilbert I am one of four blogs hosting an amazing giveaway. Along with Maria, Tracey and Melaine I will be giving away a metre of each of the fabrics shown here. Be sure to go and check out the alternative designs that they are giving away for four times the chance of winning.

Being a long time devotee of Cabbages and Roses and their dreamy, vintage aesthetic, I really am passionate about these fabrics that are screen and roller printed in the UK and designed in London. All in delicate colours that suit all seasons and will effortlessly add a vintage layer to your interior. Living on the East Sussex coast the Ships passing fabric would look so perfect as cushions in our house. I can't wait to make some. I am also counting the days until I can visit their new Avery Row store too. My husband will have to drag me out by my ears.

So, I will be giving one lucky winner a metre of each fabric swatch pictured here from the beautiful Gilbert Range, 'Ships passing' 'Metro' and 'Scoopy'. To enter all you need to do is leave a comment here telling me what you would make with the fabric if you were to win. The winners will be announced on Monday the 29th of November. If you are the lucky winner I would love to see what you create at a later date.

You can also get an extra entry if you post or tweet about the giveaway and comment back with a link to the post here. Good luck and don't forget the other prints available at Dreamy Whites, French Larkspur and My Sweet Savannah.

Have a happy Thursday, I hope the sun is shining wherever you are today.

Happy November

Happy November. To celebrate the new month and my new life due to the fact that I have worked my last day at the bank! I am hosting a week of giveaways. First up is this beautiful book-Farrow & Ball Living with Colour by Ros Byam Shaw and a colour chart to help you decide which colours to start with.

"Paint is the least expensive way to transform a room. And, unlike knocking down a wall or tiling a floor, it is not difficult to rectify if you have a made a mistake. Colour should be fun; at its best it is joyful." Ros Byam Shaw, Farrow & Ball Living With Colour.

Mini Mondays... Giveaway! and Chanel Les Pop de Chanel Summer Collection 2010

There's been a buzz around beauty blogosphere about this collection for a while now and it's finally arrived!

Chanel's summery offerings include Limited Edition nail polish shades and lipglosses which, for me, absoloutely epitomise summer. Just looking at the display in John Lewis had me transported to another world where I could wear beach jewellery, sip ice cold Mojitos and where me in a white bikini wouldn't have small children crying in fright...
Unfortunately, Chanel are not miracle workers and I had to settle for taking home the last remaining bottle of Novelle Vague, the minty fresh turquiose pictured below, a shade which will go some way to helping me live my beachy, summer dream.

I'm thinking this will be perfect on my nails for my city hen do in London in June, or for my extended honeymoon taking me from the beach in Hawaii to the slick city streets of New York. As long as it's warm, this colour will be fab!
In other news (Giveaway!)...
Whilst I was at Chanel, we got talking about the blog (I had to tell her otherwise she would have though I was weird for taking pics of the display...) and she kindly gave me 5 copies of the Limited Edition collectors book celebrating the release of the Rouge Coco lipstick range t giveaway to my lovely followers! The book is a must for any Chanel fan, with some beautiful photography and graphics.

To win one of these books, you need to be a follower (I will check!) and just leave me a comment telling me your favourite thing about summer! Competition will be open until Midnight Sunday 16th May and winners will be picked at random.
Good Luck!

Follower Giveaway!

Hello beautiful peeps!!
Well, the time has come for me to do my first ever 'thanks for following' giveaway! I really wanted to wait for 100, but I'm too damn impatient! Plus, I'm moving house tomorrow and wont be able to post at least til Monday now, so this is my way of saying sorry!

So, to give away I have...

1 Victoria Jackson Eye Palette

1 Sigma Makeup E/S Blending Brush

1 Victoria Jackson Refillable, Retractable Bronzer

1 Duo Mister Mascara 'Tease' Eyelashes

1 Bottle of Sherbet Lemon No17 Nail Polish

So the rules are...
You need to be a follower. This is a giveaway to thank my followers, therefore to be in the running, you need to be a follower!
To enter, I'd like you to leave me a comment telling me about your Desert Island or Holy Grail beauty product. Just a few words, what it is, what you love about it and why it makes you feel good. It can be hair, skincare, makeup or body care - whatever!
For a second entry, you can either blogroll or post about this giveaway, but make sure you put the link in with your comment.
That's it! Make sure you leave an email address in your comment so I can contact you, if you're the winner.

The Small Print
The competition will be open until Midnight (GMT) Friday 2nd April 2010, so you have a little over a week to get thinking. Open to International entrants. All prizes are brand new - I do have my own Sleek Palette and the yellow nail varnish, but you will receive brand new products. I have purchased all the prizes myself, with the exception of the Sigma brush which was a gift when I bought some brushes recently. The winner will be selected by random google selection widget.
Good Luck!! A xx

Can't stay down for long.

Even though mail order is giving me some difficulties at the moment. Etsy does have a great side. Meeting people. The best thing about having an Etsy shop is all the wonderful people you meet. Buyers, sellers and people who share your tastes. Someone I have met recently is Jessica Goodman from Way side Violet "a student, a coffee lover, proud corgi owner, an admirer of pretty things and a devourer of literature".

I was very happy to be asked by Jess to answer a few questions for the first interview in a series about her favourite Esty sellers. We are also having a little giveaway with the interview. so pop on over and leave a coment to win.

See more from Jess, coffee snugs (like the one above) in her Shop and day to day life at Flickr.

Thank you again Jess.

Cerise, turquoise, gold, giveaway

I have this set of six handmade invitations. Made them a while ago from hand dyed lace embellished with beads and sequins. They have been hiding in a drawer. They need to fulfill their destiny, that's where you come in. Leave a comment about your favorite theme for a party, and they could be there in time for your next celebration.

I will close the giveaway this friday 17th of April at 8 pm UK time.

Good flummery!

Thank you to all who participated in my giveaway, I am sorry that I didn't have enough flags to give one to each of you : (

For the lucky, you have my hubby to thank as he did the honors ; )

So without further ado congratulations to the three winners! I wish I were a ballerina, lola enchanted and hrsj. I will message each of you so you can mail me your address's. Have a lovely Wednesday evening. I can't believe it's half way through the week already, I am very much looking forward to doing some baking at the weekend. I found a sweet little book of old English puddings in a junk shop the other day and it had some fun recipes including Black currant flummery, Tafferty tart and Exmoor in and out. Not sure which of these tasty fruity treats to try out but I have a couple of days left to dream about it. Maybe you will help me decide?

Hey

Don't forget to pop over and leave a comment for My giveaway. Not going to be around for the bank holiday so closing day is tuesday and I will reveal the winners on wednesday. See you soon enjoy your weekend!
