Festively winter

I thought I would end today with the best dressed trees, aglow and twinkling with tiny white lights, I can't stop looking at these photographs by Irene Suchocki. Available in Irene's Etsy shop

Here before you know it.

Sod it, the festive season is going to arrive before we know it, even though we have a year to prepare and the shops bamboozle us with holiday things from September onwards, it still seems to come as a surprise on December the 19th when I still haven't got all the food decorations and gifts that I need. I just can't wait any longer to post about these lovely bells, candles and garlands from Toast house and home not so seasonal really in colours of peeling gold, terracotta and brown paper I think they have year round appeal.

Too early.

Slap me, I know it's way too early to mention Christmas, but I love this so much I had to share. Keep updated on all their beautiful creations here.

Happy Saturday xxx

Early morning sunshine

A run of good weather and early morning sunshine has put a spring in my step and I am finally getting around to listing the wreaths I made over at Etsy. I have a few more to finish and will share some more pictures soon.

Sumptuous setting

A most sumptuous setting full of jewel bright colours and everything that can thaw a heart after such a frosty few weeks. Couldn't you just jump right in? Think I will invite some friends over for a pretty lunch on Sunday.

Happy Saturday

Watching Holiday Inn and eating pistachio nougat. No gym today after all, leaning more (like you) towards the idea of beginning in January after the glazed ham and plum pudding are safely out of eyeshot. Seems like a better, safer plan don't you think?
Can't decide which decoration path to go down? Bright colours and jingle bells or muted antique silvers and silent nights?

Glimmer

A glimmer of joy in another dark and wintry day was finding my favourite pair of earrings and a long lost necklace within a secret tear in the lining of a bag I rarely use.
It was just like when Carrie finds her "carrie" necklace in the final episode of SATC. I also found all these paper cocktail decorations in one of my kitchen cupboards and think they are just perfect for some kind of garland, maybe a dash of glitter, what do you think?

Any small things happened to make your day?

Newness

Stitched and decorated. New to the shop, a couple of pretty garlands to add a finishing touch to that dream bedroom.

My day just got 100 times better.

I was having quite a rubbish day today, so to get home and find that dear sweet Denise from a bun can dance has nominated me for an award over at Dorset cereals really made me feel special. So if you like spending time over here and have time pop on over and register your vote at Dorset cereals.

Thanks so much Denise!

Lovely bunting picture from A bun can dance.

Summer fete

My stitching room looks like a summer fete. All around it hang the new garlands for my shop. Finally finished and ready to find new homes.

I really feel I have got so much done today. I hope everyone else has had a fulfilling weekend. Has anyone else been making anything?

Have a happy Sunday evening.

Just before I go, there seem to be a lot of f's in this post, no?

Ragged swags

The tiny Hydrangea posy that I picked on a walk with my sister the other evening has finally hung its tired little head. Also been making a little progress with some new garlands, though they are more like ragged swags. Yes ragged swags with a twinkle here and there.

PS. For those concerned, the neighbors cat did not get wet : )
