I have been stitching again, in the peace of my workroom. Late for work, so more later.

My day just got 100 times better.

I was having quite a rubbish day today, so to get home and find that dear sweet Denise from a bun can dance has nominated me for an award over at Dorset cereals really made me feel special. So if you like spending time over here and have time pop on over and register your vote at Dorset cereals.

Summer fete

My stitching room looks like a summer fete. All around it hang the new garlands for my shop. Finally finished and ready to find new homes.

I really feel I have got so much done today. I hope everyone else has had a fulfilling weekend. Has anyone else been making anything?

Inspired by my favorite, no, hang on a minute everyones favorite Uncle, and to say thanks for reading my blog and for all your lovely comments/thoughts. I'm going to do my first give away. During the major tidying of my creative space I found these flags that I made a while ago.
So if anyone out there would like one of these baby's hanging up in their house somewhere or to give to a friend. Leave a comment on this post and I will put all the names in a hat and get the husband to pick out three.
I know I have a vintage bowler somewhere in the bottom of my wardrobe. You just never know when you might need to dress up as Sally Bowles or one of Laurel and Hardy? Do I detect smirking? Don't doubt it, I assure you its possible, my family members used to mock me when I was a helpless baby unable to defend myself for my resemblance to stan Laurel, though naturally I would prefer to think of myself as the star of Cabaret.

Oops almost forgot a closing date how about this Tuesday evening 26/08/08? I'll post the winners on Wednesday. Night Night.

Village life

This weekend. Weddings attended-1. Drinks drunk-too many. Useful things you need when you stay out overnight like toothbrushes etc, left at home-all. Hangovers overcome-2. (one each) Beautiful English villages we drove through and decide to live in-4 After a hectic Saturday stitching some bunting is making my sunday a happy one, Lord knows I am a slow worker but I'm getting ready to restock my Etsy shop one day soon!

I know it's still a while away but a friend requested I make her some bunting and this is what I pulled together from the paper scraps I salvaged from around my workroom. I hope she likes it.

A few people were inquiring about the tiny pinboard bunting I made for christmas, so I thought I'd say thanks for your interest and I have just listed my last five on etsy : )

I did another craft fair today, I have to say I do not enjoy the selling side as much as I enjoy the creating and packaging side. I sold quite a few bits though so I am pleased and it was in a cosy hall too so no complaints from me, the pessimist winger! Also I had great company in my friend Barbara who bragged for me all day and fellow stall holders Alice and Naomi (safety in numbers!) There were some beautiful jewellery stalls and some very tasty home made biscuits doing the rounds! Inspired by the hole punch confetti used by Abigail Brown (who I wrote about earlier this week) I added some inside the boxes for the teeny pin board bunting I made, mixed with a little festive sparkle in the form of glitter of course! I have some of these left so yay for me I can keep one and hang it in my bedroom : )
