I came across My Cotton Poppy dress from The Secret Store (sold exclusively at The Cellar) a few days ago and fell in love with the lovely pattern. After purchasing the dress, I tried in and... aïe, que dolor! the skirt ended being a total disaster on my shape - I'm slightly curvy but the skirt was made extremely straight. My butt and hips were sticking out everywhere, and when I tried to simply make the skirt bigger, I ended up looking like a box.
Ok perhaps I'm slightly exaggerating here... ;)
So tonight I came up with a skirt of my own. I paired the original Poppy skirt with the Geisha Leather Belt from Fishy Strawberry and modded the shizz out of that skirt for what seemed forever.
Final result : tadaaaa! Shorter, curvier and totally adorable just like the original was already. Only, it fits me a hundred times better.
It was worth the hard work.
