where I have been

I am taking five minutes before I am swept off on a friends birthday day of fun, to pop in and say hello. I have missed being here but just have no time at the moment.

I have been . . . .

Sending packages
receiving parcels
baking
tidying
making garlands
guest posting
eating salt butter caramels
visiting friends
watching "The September issue"
and "La vie en rose"
household stuff
back to work
I feel there is so much more to the list, but I think you understand.

My days have been so full and I will be back soon, when I get the time I promise to answer some of the questions that are left in your comments, which I so cherish, but I seem to get swept along and hardly ever reply. Just know that I read each one and am so glad that you visit me here.

I must say a super huge thank you to Holly for her extra lovely post about my blogs and I. To hear such words written about yourself can be quite overwhelming, and I can't tell you how thrilled I am. Thank you again Holly!

Thanks Holly

This day just keeps getting better. A sweet blogger friend told me that my other blog Record the day was featured today on decor8. So I rushed on over and how right she was.
Decor8 was one of the first blogs I ever read and I have been awe inspired by Holly's dedication to talking about art, craft, design and interior details plus all the while promoting small independent businesses and other bloggers. How she fits all this in whilst living in two different countries and making two beautiful homes I will never know. so a massive thanks Holly for posting about my daily collages.

I have had such a great Monday that I wonder if I'll ever get to sleep? and I have more exciting news to tell soon too.

Too good to miss

Holly over at Decor8 has blown my aesthetic senses tonight with amazing posts about all these talented folk! Beautiful paintings by Holly Farrell Gorgeous printed and embellished creations by Lyndie Dourthe and these pretty spoons from artist Magie Hollingworth go see go see! Its a day of psting too good to miss : )

Rachel Ashwell interview on decor8

Frosty morning again and thanks to cathy over at pink green who reminded me I had them, I found my tiny christmas trees. I've nearly finished decorating the apartment for christmas, just need to make a few of these simple decorations in white paper to hang in the corners if the rooms and maybe over the kitchen table.
Also much to my joy and delight, I see over at decor8 Holly has an interview with Rachel Ashwell!! Horray its great to read and learn about what is ahead for Shabby Chic, as its been a while since Rachel's last book. It seems there is an online store in the pipe works too, so I can hopefully get some things for my home without crossing the Atlantic!
