Recordings

Have gathered some extra minutes from my days and turned them into some new daily collages, and I managed to pick up the pretty blue floral dress from the middle image in Laura Ashley for 75% off!

Almost there

I am just popping in to say I have been doing some things, just over here instead!

tears of joy over Spilled Milk.

I am so excited this evening to post about the debut edition of lovely Marie Lid Aske's online magazine Spilled Milk. Marie asked me a while ago if I would like Record the day to be featured in her first issue. I said yes, and I am thrilled with how it turned out. There are so many wonderful pages it was all I could do not to feature the entire magazine here. Spilled milk features bloggers, designers, fashion lovers, photographers and artists of every kind. I am so proud to be a part of this first issue, and hope to read many more. Thanks Marie!

There is a blog too where I am sure you can find out all Marie's latest discoveries. So hop on over its the perfect way to while away some time this or any evening. Have fun.

Return

Finally back into the swing of posting some new pages over here. Happy thursday to you.

Demolished

Sunday morning was spent eating sweets while I demolished the backlog of magazines that have been steadily stacking up the living room wall. From these all I have left is a one centimeter stack of images for my record the day collages. Today its off to the recycling centre for the remaining paper and then to town to seek some more record cards. The shop that supplied them before has sadly closed down so you may notice some gaps while I hunt to get them elsewhere.

A simple lunch

A simple lunch, a little light reading or looking as I can't read Danish, a delightful surprise and something new.

Thanks for all you comments and perfume experiences, now I can't wait to go out on a practical exercise and investigate further!

12. One of my favorite songs is "poppa don't preach to me" sung by Lena Horne.

Fleeting

Hello, just a fleeting visit on my lunch break. I love to come home and enjoy my house for a snippet of time during daylight. At last I have my inspiration back even with hands that are feeling the January cold, and have managed an update over here! The new star is the oak of a new (old) table that we have in our kitchen. I am so in love with it. I wonder if the previous owner used it as an artists desk, there are lots of different coloured paint flecks in the grain.

Thanks Holly

This day just keeps getting better. A sweet blogger friend told me that my other blog Record the day was featured today on decor8. So I rushed on over and how right she was.
Decor8 was one of the first blogs I ever read and I have been awe inspired by Holly's dedication to talking about art, craft, design and interior details plus all the while promoting small independent businesses and other bloggers. How she fits all this in whilst living in two different countries and making two beautiful homes I will never know. so a massive thanks Holly for posting about my daily collages.

I have had such a great Monday that I wonder if I'll ever get to sleep? and I have more exciting news to tell soon too.

Quiet

I'm doing some wild detox program over the next week so my posting may be a little sparse. I'm feeling quite tired in the evenings but strangely inspired in the mornings, so I will be posting over here again.

Cider, fish and chips.

Sunday and the boy is still in devon surfing with some friends and this madness is going on in the Old town all over the bank holiday weekend.
The best day to go is monday for the slaying of Jack (symbolic of course) There will be people smearing green paint on your face, morris dancers everywhere and cidered lemonade and fish and chips for dinner! Dean will be back tomorrow to chaperone me safely around this crazy event. But for today I think I'm going to stay home do some painting and update over here.
