I am meeting a friend for coffee this morning and whilst pondering what to wear, I happened upon this great look from The Sartorialist found via Victoria. 
Once upon a Monday, I saw these beautiful dresses by Alberta Ferretti. I get so inspired by sheer fabric and lace overlaying. Billowing chiffon with beautiful details. Clothes so delicate they look as though they might pale to dust in a strong wind. Just the kind of thing modern fairy tales are made of.

As you can see I am still yet to expand my blog, but with me still at the bank and my husband working too many hours a day this is a slow process. I have my fingers crossed for the end of Autumn as now the craziness of Summer is winding down and it feels okay to stay indoors.
Although I love Autumn, it seems to have arrived decidedly early. Murky skies and a cold wind, the need for a scarf to keep the chill from my decolletage. Maybe it is just how this week is going to go and the sun will return again, but I just get a feeling.
Have been scouting through the Etsy blog this morning and happened upon this beautiful jewellery collection fit for a fairy kingdom by Derya Aksoy owner of the etsy boutique Jewelera. I had to stop and post about her work, maybe you have seen it before but I just had to share. I especially love the image of Derya's studio/workspace.
As you will know I am a great lover of Style.com. All those wonderful fashion collections under one roof. I trawl through images full of colour and dream fabrics, and I save them for future posts. These however got filed without labels or words and I am not 100% on all the designers. So I have gathered them all together for this post. Some coral a little sparkle, some that swish and others that float, nipped in waists, delicate layering. Some subtle and a lot of brights. All my favourite things.
Delicate frothy pieces of barely there Christian Dior fabric, just right for layering up with heavy knits. No need to leave the house just grab a favourite old book, a champagne saucer full of milk and take yourself off to a cosy corner.
Today was the ultimate dreary day, first day back at work, never-ending with customers because of the bank holiday, and to complete the miserable mood, thunderous rain clouds hanging all around the skyline.
That I will wear for our anniversary drinks, or more like the the legs that would go with any dress of this style. I am a little on the short side. But then Nicole Richie pulls it off. Maybe it's because she has such a teeny frame. Even if I can find one to suit me I will need it taken up about a million inches so its not dragging in the red dust of the city in Marrakech. I have until Monday to search. Are you on a quest to find an item perfect for this Summer? Maybe we can point each other in the right directions.
What a great weekend. My postman made my day when he delivered the gorgeous soaps that I ordered from Brown Rice Family. The scents of cedar, mint and tea tree seeping through the brown paper wrapping. Then a surprise package from Aya, two copies of the beautiful book 'A girly interior in London' (available soon here) in which our home is featured. A little styling of my own but mainly the styling and photos were by Emma Cassi and Bertrand. I am pleased as punch with how it looks. Now to stop gawping over all the pretty homes featured and embellish this dusky pink top that I picked up in Tesco's of all places. I need to sequin it up ready for the sparkling North African sun. If that ash cloud doesn't ruin our plans.
The new range from Noa Noa is so pretty and in all my favourite summer colours of coral, powder blue and champagne.
The sun rushed in and my appetite for colour went through the roof. A lunch with friends on Sunday, a little retail therapy whilst visiting some new boutiques in the Old Town. Vintage plates, pretty pins, paisley cupcake cases, and a pair of Carrie shoes which were so pretty I blew my whole weekend budget on them.
