A decent meal

One of my favourite things about being at home so much is eating three proper meals a day. No more hastily grabbed snacks like greasy sausage rolls or cardboard tasting sandwiches that are laced with too much mayonnaise and cheap margarine. My fridge is also a happier place now that the greenery gets eaten before it wilts, and I get to see my husband for lunch too. An hour of daylight spent slowing down and spending some time eating home cooked meals at the table without our laptops is a simple luxury.

I am leaving for London now, excited to be meeting some other creative girls, we so often speak via email and twitter but rarely find the time to gather in one place, so it will be a treat to put the faces to the names I know so well.

Fleeting florals

Today was the ultimate dreary day, first day back at work, never-ending with customers because of the bank holiday, and to complete the miserable mood, thunderous rain clouds hanging all around the skyline.

Thought I would cheer myself up (and you if tuesday was mean to you too) with a wardrobes worth of lolita-esque fleeting florals inspired by these beautiful patchwork style wall tiles from Welbeck. I don't need wall tiles but I would definitely order a few to use a coasters for my morning cup of tea. Okay okay, enough for tea with ten friends.

Bathed in flowers

Was just searching for the perfect maxi dress to take on my holiday when I took a wrong but good turn and found the spring collection from Cabbages and Roses. I stayed too long and fell in love, I may have to buy the Cotton Delilah Tunic. I think it would look great over a pair of white churidar from toast. Perfect for lounging on floral cushions and eiderdowns on a sun drenched Summer lawn.
