Lovely lashes and fancy legs

Love love love the intricate designs of these pretty eyelashes from Luna and Curious, inspired by Chinese paper cutting. Pop over and see what other unusual things they have in their shop.

Great mail and a slice of cake

What a great weekend. My postman made my day when he delivered the gorgeous soaps that I ordered from Brown Rice Family. The scents of cedar, mint and tea tree seeping through the brown paper wrapping. Then a surprise package from Aya, two copies of the beautiful book 'A girly interior in London' (available soon here) in which our home is featured. A little styling of my own but mainly the styling and photos were by Emma Cassi and Bertrand. I am pleased as punch with how it looks. Now to stop gawping over all the pretty homes featured and embellish this dusky pink top that I picked up in Tesco's of all places. I need to sequin it up ready for the sparkling North African sun. If that ash cloud doesn't ruin our plans.

Thanks so much for all your responses to Morocco I will be planning my trip over the next few days, including as many of your recommendations as I can.

Thursday's looking up.

A dash of embellishment to brighten this dingy grey again Thursday. Courtesy of the Clements Ribeiro resort 2010 Look book. I just love all the decoration of the interior behind the models too. Such joyous colouring. Just right for a morning so dull. I think these amazing outfits could be easily adapted for smaller budgets too.

Well dressed

Love this book The well dressed home by Annette Tatum, so much loveliness on every page, collections of pretty clothes and beautiful interiors. Inspiration boards and decorating ideas. All these images have really perked me up.
Michelle Long's home was featured in the book and you can buy some of the items and similar vintage treasures in Michelle's Etsy shop Bohemiennes's.

a little gold tread and a lot of sequins

I've had a very long dull day. Maybe if I had one of these outfits I would feel a little better? With my magpie's eye of course I love both of these films. House of flying daggers and Curse of the golden flower. Both are beautiful both are sad. But enough of the sad already, lets focus on the beautiful. If I didn't have four full working days ahead of me I'd start embellishing my vintage dressing gown tonight. With a little gold tread and a lot of sequins.
