I could have danced all night

I have had such a great day off. I feel like I'm on cloud nine. Firstly, dear sweet Brittany Noel let me know that record the day was featured on design sponge's guest blog which is written this week by Roseline from this is glamourous. Then I watched my fair lady and laughed along to the hilarious dialogue. How amazing is Eliza's dress when she attends the ball? It would make a fabulous wedding dress. As it is not available one of these stunning modern alternatives from Jenny Packam might do?

Oh Collette

Found some great winter sparkle over at Collette Dinnigan's website, it's a sequined wonderland. These dresses above are part of the winter 2008 collection and below are some of the great photos I found while digging deeper into the editorial archives. Collette does some amazing things with beading and layers of lace. Alas my budget is not going to stretch to one of these and I'm all out of award ceremonies to go to so I really must get on and embellish some of the clothes I already have.

If at first you don't succeed. . . .

Finding inspiration from outrageous embellishment today. Practicing more with photoshop even though my online support (Dean!) is absent. So I'm battling it out alone, making lucky mistakes and just generally trying all the tools out. Recycling my own images from my other blog record the day.

How comes no one makes the effort and dresses like this anymore : (
