Dress 1 or Dress 2

Today I need a little help from my friends. I think I can call you that? I hope so. Anyway this weeks dilemma is dress 1 or dress 2 ? I am going to a wedding on the 2nd of May and I can't decide which one to wear. Next week I might indulge my inner Carrie Bradshaw and show you how I might fancy each one up. Not that they need much fancying. So what do you think?

colour trails

I love bleak colours, winter grey, soft twiggy browns, feather whites, but as spring rolls in thicker and faster pretty brights are weaving their way through my life. I have been bestowed another Joules dress, this time for a May wedding I am attending, its such a happy dress I want to wear it every day. Colourful marzipan sweets and delicate candy hued garlands will have to tide me over until I can debut my floral explosion!

I need to get a pair of shoes to go with it. These wedges are a good match but there is no way I could stand in them all day. Have you seen any shoes you think would suit this outfit?

I thought the tea set in the picture above would make a good best friend for my dress. It is from the book Afternoon tea parties with beautiful photographs by Martin Brigdale, it is available from Ryland peters and small. It is such a great book. I think I am going to invite my girlfriends to a few tea parties this summer.

Now on to matters more serious. I am off to bid a sad farewell to Gill Grissom.

Camping and caravanning

Holly's inspiring post today featuring the fabulous work of one of my all time favorite photographers Debi Treloar has inspired me to seek out the perfect spring dress and I think that Joules may just have it!
Their new Spring & Summer range is inspired "by holidaying, camping and caravanning. It’s all about packing suitcases, buying provisions, hitching up the six berth and heading for the coast." Sounds like perfection to me!
I just love this english site full of great clothes, Ideas and even tips on how to keep chickens! I Can't wait for their blog to get going.

Summer blooms

Its still chilly here, but with all this winter sunshine I'm looking forward to spring and I would just love to spend my days in the sun wearing this pretty dress from Joules clothing.
Maybe pairing it with this Chanel-esque cardigan will keep the chill off. And to finish off my perfect spring outfit these beautiful roses from my one and only, thank you D : )
