At last

At last. It's mine. I have it in my hands. To keep. Forever. Flicking through all 213 beautiful pages at all the wonderful places to visit. Already planning another trip. To go back to Paris and take this handmade tour. To follow in Pia's stylish footsteps. An Autumn weekend in Paris sounds perfect to me.

Paris at home

We took a little bit of Paris home. It tasted like bergamot, rose, black current-violet, pistacio, and lasted about three days.

Soft ragged roses and chandeliers

Things I love most about Paris.
All the tiny outside spaces decorated with simple but beautiful plants and flowers.
Little dog that looked like yoda.
Lunch at Chez Julien.
Soft ragged roses in the courtyard garden at the Musée Cognacq-Jay.
Hot chocolate and chandeliers at Paul bakery.

just lovely

Paris was wonderful. I promise to share more soon. The weather has been just lovely, we are having fun relaxing and settling back into our little home. How was your weekend, get up to anything fun?

the sparrows are too friendly

A quick hello from Paris, thanks for all your lovely comments. The bread is melt in the mouth, the sun is out, the buildings are amazing, the shops are stunning, the sparrows are too friendly, I thought one of the teeny blighters might land in my falafel. Don't fret, I learnt my lesson about feeding wild animals in New York when I generously gave an almond to a squirrel.

kindly shared

I have ordered a moleskine city notebook to keep safe all the best things we find in Paris. I have one for NYC and its busting at the seams with addresses, street names, business cards and all our favorite things about New York.

Thank you so much for all your tips and advice, with your help I am already half way to filling this new volume of my travels. I can't wait for it to arrive so that I can mark the streets and places you have so kindly shared with me.

On the home front, just waiting to buy paint for the lounge now. I think I will tackle the decorating this weekend. But don't take my word for it. If the sun ventures back out from behind those clouds I will be outdoors and saving my rollers and brushes for the next rainy day!

Hope to be back with something prettier for you to look at soon.

Nearly one year

Hello again, returning from a crazy weekend filled with weddings and meeting up with old friends, there may also have been a little too much Pimms.

But today I am excited because it is almost our one year anniversary, and, we are off to Paris in three weeks to spend some time just him, me and a thousand Parisian bakeries. We have rented this sweet little apartment in the heart of the Marais district. I can't wait to see Paris with my Husband in one hand and camera in the other. What will we see, where shall we go? We have been before but only for a couple of days to get our bearings. Now we know our way around we will be happy to just walk the streets and soak up the atmosphere.

Have you been? If you would like to share, what do you love in Paris?
